Elon Musk's Wikipedia REPLACEMENT Just Got a Controversial Makeover

Grokipedia, SpaceXAI's AI-powered competitor to Wikipedia, recently started incorporating edits again, and today, it got some design tweaks as part of a v0.3 update, including a new logo and refreshes to its homepage and live edits page. SpaceXAI head of design Benji Taylor calls it a "newly refreshed Grokipedia." Grokipedia's old homepage was pretty much just a logo and a search bar, but the updated homepage includes a list of featured articles, a list of the most-read articles, and a tracker s

The Foldable Phone That Feels Like STEPPING Back in Time

The X Fold 6 looks like foldables did three months ago. It's a quirk of the release calendar that when Vivo's X Fold 6 launched in China this June, it was just another foldable. Now that it's ready for its global release, the size and aspect ratio feel oddly old-fashioned. The X Fold 6 is much the same size as Vivo's previous foldables, and most other foldables that launched before both Apple and Samsung pivoted to a shorter, wider form factor with the Z Fold 8 and iPhone Duo. The 6.51-inch co

The AI Safety Conversation Is Missing One CRITICAL Voice

How can we keep individuals safe from the dangers AI presents? The answer to this ever-present question often focuses on training and education initiatives for children in school or adults at work.  But what about the people who don’t go to either?  Seniors with no kids at home and who retired from the workforce are often being left to flounder when it comes to AI. Digital immigrants, as they’re sometimes called, have to contend with a world where AI is slipping into every crevice while missing

Huawei's Latest Phone Requires an ENTIRE Camera to Work

I’m sorry, this is just a camera that makes phone calls. | Image: Huawei Over the last few years, Chinese Android manufacturers have followed Vivo's example of launching add-on "teleconverter" lenses for their flagship phones, enabling long-distance photography that the phones on their own could never match. Today, Huawei one-upped everybody with the add-on lens for its Mate 90 Pro Max flagship, which is not only a comically huge zoom lens, but also includes its own image sensor. The 1-inch-ty

The E-Bike Battery Technology That Changes EVERYTHING

Lemmo wants you to call it an SUV. | Image: Lemmo The Lemmo 3 is the first cargo bike from the respected German e-bike maker. This premium, step-through longtail is a slightly less insane take on Rivian's Also TM-B, with one major advantage: it's one of the first electric bikes to feature a semi-solid state battery. Semi-solid state batteries are far safer than traditional lithium-ion batteries. Their gel-like composition offers improved energy density, with far less risk of thermal runaway.

Why the Most Famous AI Definition Needs to DIE

Early generative AI models, circa 2017-2022, were “stochastic parrots.” That is, they generated language by choosing the statistically most likely next word based on patterns in their training data, rather than truly understanding what they were saying. Beginning in 2023, artificial intelligence labs began releasing large language models (LLMs) that had evolved beyond autoregressive next-token prediction, as researchers call it. For many people, the stochastic parrot definition stuck. And lately

The Battery Revolution Happening in Your NEIGHBORHOOD

If you want to install a big battery in New York City, you have to cut through a notoriously tough tangle of regulations. That’s made it difficult to get large energy storage projects on the grid. Faced with those obstacles, some startups are getting creative, finding ways to use relatively small batteries in unexpected places,…

The AI That Can See What You're THINKING

A new AI tool can guess what you’re looking at just by analyzing your brain scans—and recreate that image with remarkable precision. It can go the other way too, and predict a person’s brain activity based on what they’re looking at.  In the image above, for example, the left-hand image of each pair is what…

What Everyone Gets WRONG About AI's Future

Despite the succession of state laws and school board regulations banning the use of artificial intelligence in classrooms, the AI education market shows no signs of slowing down. For one, it expanded from $150 million in 2021 to $730 million in 2026, and experts estimate it will reach $18.5 billion by 2036. New technologies almost inevitably follow a hype cycle including massive excitement over the potential, followed by a rapid decline (known among market analysts as the “trough of disillusion

HP Just Built Something THINNER Than the MacBook Neo
